Hi there, this is my first movie review. So please switch to casual level and for some moments stay U away and move into I. Here is my first line.... It seems the hollywood guys are imitating the bad imitation habit of their bollywood counterparts, at least in making movies. Where all the scriptwriters has gone from this world? Dear scriptwriters, wherever you people are please come back as your absence is creating hustle and bustle in the world's movies communities. Now movie-talks over. Move to the review. The story starts with the six friends who have came to play a football match in the serene, stifled town of Athelston plan an outing in the night, a day before the football match. They have equipped themselves with necessary accessories and left for a high-spirited journey in the locale. But they didn't know even slightly that this night safari would become their lives' most dreadful experience? As after reaching the destination, they there met with a rather obscure man who seems to be the sole living being residing in the town. They took shelter in a house the man has told them to. And from here the ghostly trailer starts. The house they were residing in was casting a spine-chilling aura and the dummy wax models kept there are just adding to its spooky clima. They are all ambiguous to the evils the house is brimming in its unfathomability. But it didn't take much time for them to comprehend the enigma behind the waxwork on those dummies, that they are not human like but real human bodies, albeit dead! But now there goi'n gets tough as an eerie, mysterious killer, who has taken over the work to turn the whole town into wax, is after them and baying for their life. And to save themselves from the clutches of death, they have to pissed off the house anyhow otherwise they will remain waxed in this "House of wax" althroughout their life. The film is the current genre of 1953 super hit "House of wax" with mod spirits n sexy-looking dead bodies! Now we just hope that the waxiness in the "House of wax" is enough to lit the candles in the audience's mind.

Moment of the week

"She's glowing," Holmes's aunt Carol Zydorczyk told PEOPLE, while the actress had said she was feeling "great." As for wedding plans, Holmes said, "They're going very well."

He's the bollywood's biggest star and a style icon too.
Famous for his creativity with hairstyles, he's made the Indians to try him everytime he does any hair-styling.
So let's try this : Get your hairs fallen on your forehead, and the side locks to reach your ears and please, never use combs.
After a bath, let it as it is. ISB's Dollar-Dealing Story

An annual salary offer of Rs 1.04 crore, or $233,800 to be precise, to this year’s top billed graduate from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, has not only made headlines, but has been cause for some euphoria.
However, what is not as well-known is that this top pick by Bangalore-based ITC Infotech for a London posting is no greenhorn. He is a well-heeled professional with 10 plus years tucked under his belt, and therefore, may not have made a killing after all.
It's a big deal, indeed!

"ToDo's" of the week

Although, India has lots of beautiful places you would have a weakness for, like Kerala which is often referred as God's own country, ever-snow-clad Jammu and Kashmir and lots of other places, the Indians can proud of.
But here I will travel you to another Indian city of Jaipur, the "Pink City" , the city of kings, the city of palaces.
For centuries, It served to kings and queens, now it's your turn to be served. With its ability to recalculate courses, arrange destinations to minimize distances and track traffic patterns, this comprehensive unit does everything you need – except drive!

Player of the week

Yuvraj Singh

He's the Sunday Slice player of the week. No question about it. He deserves it. For his mature knock of 103 in the 3rd ODI against between India and England at Goa. From the begining he's never let himself down to the britishers and fought it with valour and grit and some great shots which constitued three sixes and ten boundaries. All these knocks only helping him truly transforming into a batsman who has skills and a plan to employ these skills.

Personality of the week

Sunday Slice

Irfan Pathan

The Baroda lad led India to an emphatic win at the 3rd ODI between England and India at Goa. First he entertained India with his batting skills with boundaries and singles at a very crucial stage when India's star batsman virender Sehwag caught out, and well-set the India's plan of a good score with skipper Rahul Dravid. He's scored thirty six runs with 3 fours and one six. Then came his turn to flaunt his bowling skills. The England's top-three batsman fall prey to Irfan's swings and seams. He completed his 10 overs with 51-4.

Institute of the week

Sunday Slice

You're there.

A premiere management institute set-up by the Indian govt. in the city of Ahmedabad, India. The foundation stone of this institute was laid down at the time when India was preparing for a economy-booster launch. The industrialists and Indian govt. jointly called for a meeting where it was decided to create a environment where India's major economies could nurture.
And this led to the creation of IIM - Ahmedabad, one of the world's top 100 management institutes.
Today it boasts of some of the world's greatest CEOs and CFOs viz. Samosa
Samosa was first being made by the Sam's mausa (Uncle) and that's why It's been called samosa.Heck! Don't beleive it. It was just a joke.Actually It's a pure Indian pastry with space for spicy vegetables or meat or, perhaps, some sort of sweet stuffs. They al come encircled around a triangular circumference.Since It's shape resembles to that of the water-nut or singhada, as It is called in the local jargon,Itr is often called so in the state of Bihar and in some parts of UP. Samosas are anti-samey.I mean there are myriad varieties of them.Ironically, It's varieties depend upon It's creativity. Put whatever you want in It and It will become a variety. In fact, It's inner weight is It's identity! If you squeezed out the entire material, there just remain a heap of fried atta! The basic samosa comes up with matar (Peas) and aloo(s) (Potatoes) in the ratio of 1:3. But the University Canteen of AMU has some different words to say.The chefsa, here, have big hearts for aloos but are unfair towards matars. The chatnis are seems to be made with a bucket full of water with a handful of shakkar (sugar) and few drops of metacolour in it!Their prices, the quintessential matter to be discussed here, are contrary to their frowzy samosas. Crude and constant.Their price range varies from Rs.1.50 to Rs.3.00. So If you wanna enjoy it, you have to shell out few big bucks off your pocket! Happy Sam-mosas!
P.S. The Sunday Slice will not be responsible for the stomach-shambles and squeaky farting.

News of the week

Sunday Slice
You're there.

"IIMs hike fees", the today's main headlines in almost all local and national newspapers. But do you think It is really a news to be made the news of the day. It can never. What it has? Only news about a fee hike of fifty to seventy five thousand rupees in an institution where the average salary is of about eighty thousand per month, where after two years of degree completion, placement is a surity and where one can take chance to leave his placement offer for a rather impractical idea. Really, I have never heard if anyone who's got admissions in IIM is not joining due to some financial reasons! And I know I will never ever hear that. In institutions like IIMs where almost all the indian students dream for a slot, who's goin' to worry for a fee hike and that's also just for an amount, which's meagre even if compare to IIPMs!Instead there was another IIM story today about the two IIM lads who left their heavily-priced placements to accomplish their out-of-the-box dream-projects. In the world, where there is a crazy-run for placements, where taking risks for executing some great ideas, if there is any, is considered a blunder, where the competition for a place in a good institute, and then for a job often led to suicides, in such a illusory world these impregnable lads are trying their hands poised with lots of confidence. Don't you think this is the story one can make it as the news of the day?
Actually what's the matter is that today's TRPs smitten media loves attention and they know that these things will help them get that. They doesn't care for any story that whether it can bring some spark in the today's youths thinking. There are lots of stuffs they can do in this regard , for instance, interviewing peoples who could be the role-models for our underprovided, nowhere to go youths. Take, for the matter, Rashmi Bansal, the editor of JAM, a popular youth magazine, who has a great success story to tell.........

Movie of the week

Sunday slice

It seems Bollywood is lacking titles to name their flicks and that's why they are going alphabetic! And not just titles, there are dearth of scripts too. So they have to do the cloning, rewiping of the same gheesa-peeta script again and again. So be ready once again for one of the most cast-off tale of a wretched, stroppy guy who dreamt of building an empire of his own, a hell-dom! But don't muddle over the title. D doesn't mean Dawood Ibrahim, a real-life notorious international don (Actually Dawood himself misunderstood this and reprimanded Ram Gopal Verma, the movie director if the story is based on him). D actually stands for Deshu (Randeep Huda, actor), the prototype of the above-mentioned guy. Deshu is on the verge of winning or losing his game of life. And he has two lifelines. One is to become a constable-turned-flatter who can do kill-on-order or the second option to join the Baddies Inc., the apparent company. The ramshackled Hooda has chose the Satan over the David i.e. the second option to become the bhais' counterpart! Same as they are. Acrimonious, bloodthirsty, self-centered. So how his dream comes true? After joining Hashim bhai's gang, soon he becomes hashim's left hand! But his one and all mission was to grab the top slot. To crowned himself as the king of underworld with an empire of his own. So he walked into a killing spree of his own partners. And here it lacks the originality provided by the Satya and Company. There is the absence of formidability in the characters. It seems difficult to recognize their name and face. The love affair, between Deshu and Rukhsar, too lacks the sensation. Chunky Pandey has got the role for the name he has, short and sturdy. But it was Deshu again who is inexperienced of the friendship roles. Seems RGV has no got the right choice this time. Wait for the next......flick.........

Sunday Slice created!

Welcome to

Sunday Slice

You're there.
